Software Engineer

Our client is a frontier applied AI lab taking AI out of the screen and into the physical world. They’re combining cutting-edge models, robotics, and manufacturing to build general-purpose robots that can operate safely and reliably in everyday environments, at real scale. It’s one of the hardest problems in AI right now, and they’re among the few companies actually shipping.

They’re well-capitalized following a recent Series C at close to a $10B valuation, and engineering is led by a VP who previously helped scale one of the world’s largest consumer tech platforms.

As the fleet grows from hundreds to tens of thousands of units, every robot becomes a stream of real-world data. The software that collects, processes, and acts on that data will shape how reliably the fleet runs and how fast the AI improves. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do

• Build the data pipelines and platform behind a fast-growing fleet, handling large volumes of telemetry, sensor, and operational data
• Own features end to end across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Build the tools that operators and customers rely on to monitor and manage robots in the field
• Work on real-time production systems where reliability directly affects operations and customer trust
• Help close the loop between real-world deployment and model improvement

What you bring

• Around 4+ years building production software, with strong backend skills
• Experience working in data-heavy environments, such as data pipelines, streaming systems, or large-scale analytics
• Comfort working across the stack, from APIs and databases to frontend and infrastructure
• A track record of owning features end to end and shipping reliable systems

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems (for example Kafka or similar)
• Background in IoT, device fleets, robotics, or other systems that connect software to physical hardware
• Experience supporting ML teams with data infrastructure or tooling
• Startup or high-growth company experience
