About the Role

We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer with 2–3 years of experience in Oracle database development and a good understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts.

The ideal candidate should have strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot, and a basic understanding of AI technologies and their applications in enterprise software.

The candidate will work closely with development, product, and functional teams to develop, optimize, and maintain database components for enterprise applications, including GRC and risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components, including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
• Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and common table expressions (CTEs).
• Perform database query tuning and improve application performance using execution plans, indexes, and other optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with development and functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient database solutions.
• Support application integration and database interactions with Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Assist in developing and maintaining application features involving JavaScript and backend database operations.
• Understand and support GRC-related business workflows, including risk management, controls, issues, audits, and compliance processes.
• Work on database components supporting GRC/ERM platforms and enterprise applications.
• Explore opportunities to support AI-enabled features and integrations within enterprise and GRC applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and application enhancement activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow database development standards and best practices.

Required Skills1. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Strong knowledge of procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, and exception handling.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries using joins, subqueries, CTEs, and analytical functions.
• Understanding of indexes, execution plans, query tuning, and database performance optimization.
• Good understanding of relational database concepts, data models, and data integrity.

2. GRC / ERM Domain Knowledge — Mandatory

• Good understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, risk registers, internal controls, compliance management, audit management, and issue remediation.
• Understanding of enterprise risk management (ERM) processes and related business workflows.
• Ability to understand GRC business requirements and translate them into database logic and technical solutions.
• Experience with GRC platforms such as MetricStream, ServiceNow GRC, or similar enterprise risk and compliance solutions is an advantage.

3. Java and Spring Boot

• Working knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of Spring Boot fundamentals and application architecture.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and application-to-database integration.
• Familiarity with JDBC and database connectivity concepts.

4. JavaScript

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Understanding of how frontend applications interact with backend services and APIs.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot application workflows involving JavaScript and database-driven functionality.

5. AI Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and Generative AI concepts.
• Awareness of how AI can be applied to enterprise applications, risk analysis, compliance monitoring, and workflow automation.
• Willingness to learn and work with AI-enabled features and integrations.

Good to Have

• Experience working on GRC, ERM, audit, risk management, or compliance applications.
• Exposure to MetricStream, ServiceNow GRC, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Git and version control practices.
• Understanding of REST API integrations and microservices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to AI APIs, AI-powered enterprise solutions, or automation tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Demonstrable knowledge of GRC/ERM concepts.
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot, along with basic AI awareness.
