Are you a security cleared Software Engineer with C++ experience looking for your next challenge?

We’re looking for talented Software Engineers to help develop innovative software solutions across a range of defence and commercial projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing software applications and new capabilities using C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Designing, building and testing software solutions that interface with hardware and electronic systems.
• Developing test frameworks, automated tests and Test Engineering solutions.
• Creating and maintaining machine-to-machine interfaces and associated technical documentation.
• Contributing to applications across Windows and Linux environments.
• Supporting microservices architectures and containerised software solutions.
• Developing user-facing applications, including HMI, GUI and UX functionality.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Working within iterative development lifecycles, using tools such as Git, Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Ensuring software meets relevant design, coding and quality standards.

Essential key skills

• Experience in C++ or other object-oriented software development.
• Familiarity with electronics and low-level firmware.
• Experience using and producing technical documentation for machine-to-machine interfaces.
• Knowledge of test frameworks and software test development.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerisation.
• Experience developing applications that meet user requirements and formal technical constraints.
• HMI, GUI or UX development experience.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and associated development tools.
• Experience developing applications for Windows and Linux.
• Understanding of iterative software development lifecycles, such as tailored Agile approaches.
• Experience with development tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps and Git.
• Awareness of software design principles and coding standards.
