This role will be based in Bogota or Medellin in Colombia as our first full-time hire in South America, supporting our expanding North American business.

Job Description

This role sits at the core of Veridooh's campaign operations platform: the world-first system that tracks, verifies, and automates OOH campaigns at scale across multiple markets. You'll work on the backend services, data pipelines, and operational tooling that campaign teams and clients depend on daily. The problems are real and complex: processing high-volume impression data, keeping multi-market campaigns in sync, building internal tooling that surfaces the right information at the right time, and making the platform robust enough to scale as we expand.

You'll also be a key technical contact for Account Managers and the Sales team, translating operational issues into engineering solutions and making sure the platform serves the people who run campaigns, not just the people who build it.

What you'll do:

At Veridooh, campaign operations runs on technology that has no direct precedent: we built the category. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Owning Campaign Platform Reliability: Build and maintain the backend services and operational tooling that keep live campaigns running accurately across US, UK, and Australian markets. When something breaks at scale, you're part of the team that fixes it and makes sure it doesn't happen again.
• Building for Data at Scale: Work hands-on with TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS (RDS, SQS, Lambda, S3) to process high-volume impression and verification data. Design systems that are reliable, observable, and fast under real campaign load.
• Solving Operational Problems with Tooling: Work directly with Account Managers and campaign ops to understand where manual workarounds and process gaps exist, then build the tooling to eliminate them: dashboards, automation workflows, alerting systems, and internal interfaces that make complex campaign management tractable for non-engineers.
• Driving Platform Evolution: Continuously improve the platform's ability to scale as Veridooh expands into new markets and adds new verification capabilities. You'll identify technical debt, propose solutions, and ship them.
• AI-Augmented Engineering: Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) as a core part of how you build, test, review and document.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the engineering interface for Account Managers, the Sales team, and campaign operations in real time (US Eastern hours). You can distill a complex technical situation into a clear update for a non-technical AM, and you can translate a vague operational complaint into a well-scoped engineering problem. This isn't a heads-down engineering role; communication is part of the job.
• Champion Quality: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code. Advocate for high standards, observability, and modern development workflows.

What you'll bring:

• Proven Experience: At least 2-3 years of software development experience, demonstrating a track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-performance applications.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Modern Development Stacks: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular. You should be comfortable and adaptable across these technologies to create responsive and effective software solutions.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with AWS services such as RDS, SQS, Lambda, and S3. You should be skilled in building and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Data Systems Expertise: Capability in managing large scale data systems, with experience in RDBMS or data warehouses. Your skills will support the development of data-intensive applications that are both reliable and responsive.
• AI Fluency: You actively use AI coding tools in your day-to-day work and review their output critically. At Veridooh, AI fluency is a professional standard, not a nice-to-have.
• Communication and Continuous Learning: Excellent English communication skills are crucial. You should be able to articulate complex technical details and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies is essential.
• Mindset: A passion for writing simple, clean, and testable code that "just works." A curiosity for innovation, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Operational Instinct: You've worked in environments where your code directly supports operational teams, and you understand that the job isn't done when the code ships. You follow through: closing the loop with the person who raised the issue, documenting the fix, and making sure the problem doesn't come back.
