Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor software development of consumer electronic products
• Evaluate vendors’ software deliverables fulfilling our software requirements specifications & identifying software bugs
• Fix technical problems and software bugs with vendors to keep projects on schedule
• Work with supervisor and cross-functional stakeholders to define software requirements specifications
• Support new product development such as feasibility study and vendor technical discussions
• Conduct onsite visits to overseas vendors as required for technical discussions, software quality reviews and project coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
• Experience in defining software test cases, evaluating software quality & overseeing software project development involving different software vendors
• Experience in defining software requirements specifications/software development of consumer electronic products (embedded MCUs/SoCs, embedded Linux/RTOS or mobile applications) is an advantage
• Equip with programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python)
• Able to review vendor source code, effectively document and present technical findings
• Able to understand electronic schematic circuit and printed circuit board
• Good systematic, analytical, creative mindset for problem solving
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Eager to learn new technologies
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Fluency in Japanese is an advantage
