Software Engineer – EmbeddedJob Description

As a Software Engineer supporting Launch Systems, you will play a pivotal role in software development for one of our many programs. This position will be on-site at Launch Vehicles in Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements development, architecture development, detailed design, coding and unit testing, and integration and testing of real-time computer-embedded software.
• Ensure software development standards and processes are followed.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Support software debugging, integration, and system-level testing as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with object-oriented (OO) software development using C/C++ in a Linux environment.
• Experience developing, debugging, and testing embedded real-time software.
• Experience with real-time operating system (RTOS) environments, including VxWorks, INTEGRITY, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent RTOS platforms.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance, investigated within the last five years.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures.
• Experience with the design, integration, and testing of real-time computers in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and computer-in-the-loop (CIL) test laboratories.
• Experience developing interfaces to support weapon system integration efforts.
