Software Engineer, Frontend

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Frontend to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and improving client-facing web experiences that support mission-critical financial services. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver responsive, high-performing features while helping strengthen the underlying web platform. The position also includes resolving operational issues, contributing to technical excellence, and supporting the growth of the engineering team.

You will work in a fast-paced environment where thoughtful execution, reliability, and measurable product impact are highly valued.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $189,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and enhance features
• Triage and resolve operational issues for mission-critical web systems
• Improve web platform infrastructure and performance
• Participate in recruiting and interviewing activities
• Mentor team members and help foster technical growth

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in a web-focused engineering role
• Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES5+), native DOM APIs, and a modern front-end framework
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks is a plus
• Skilled in building custom pages and responsive design
• Passionate about impactful projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing
• BA/BS or MS in computer science or a related field
