Software Engineer, Full-Stack (AI-First)

We are seeking an AI-first Full-Stack Software Engineer to help develop an expert intelligence platform that combines artificial intelligence, search technology, and modern SaaS applications.

About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering role on a lean, globally distributed team. You will build and ship features across the full stack, including LLM-powered applications, APIs, search systems, and user interfaces.

Working closely with engineering leadership, product, and company leadership, you will own features from concept to production and help improve how the team builds software using AI coding tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered features for expert matching, search, and solicitation intelligence.
• Develop and improve vector search and indexing systems using OpenSearch, PGVector, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain SaaS platform features, APIs, and user interfaces using Python, React, and Go.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and take ownership of features through production deployment.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in daily development, testing, and code review.
• Improve application reliability, security, scalability, and performance.
• Write clear technical specifications, pull request descriptions, and asynchronous updates for a distributed team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and shipping production full-stack software using Python and React.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, LLM orchestration, vector search, or AI-first product development.
• Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code quality, and production ownership.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Availability for at least 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go.
• Production experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or PGVector.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, CMMC, or FedRAMP.
• Previous experience working remotely with a US-based startup.

What to Expect in Your First 90 Days

• First 30 days: Learn the codebase and AI-assisted development workflow, then ship your first production changes.
• Days 31–60: Take ownership of a feature related to expert matching or search.
• Days 61–90: Lead a customer-facing feature from planning through release, including testing and monitoring.
