What they need

M&S (which stands for Management and Solutions) was conceived in 2002 with the vision of creating highly effective teams of elite consultants to deliver strategic process and technology solutions to enterprise organizations across the US. Our commitment to delivery in complex environments and long-term customer success has merged process and technology into innovative solutions, established deep pockets of expertise, and enabled innovative transformation for evolving businesses.

We have intentionally cultivated steady growth focused on being approachable and helpful to our dearly valued clients and closely cared-for employees. M&S people simply “care hard”, and this reflects in our work products, our interactions, and our culture.

Job Description: The Software Engineer I provides engineering support across Salesforce integration activities for a federal contact center program. This role applies accepted software engineering practices to design, develop, and document integration solutions, coordinates with the management team on problem resolution, and completes tasks within established timeframes and budget constraints.

Clearance Required: Tier 2 Security Clearance (formerly NACI) — must be active at time of call order issuance. The Salesforce integration team must already possess this clearance at the point of program award to allow for a smooth and expedited transition. Strong technical qualifications alone are not sufficient - an active clearance in hand is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design systems and programs to meet complex Salesforce integration business needs
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex software programs supporting contact center integration requirements
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which integration programs are developed and coded
  • Ensure programs meet standards, technical specifications, and applicable IT governance requirements
  • Perform technical analysis and component delivery across integration workstreams
  • Analyze and gather information from existing Salesforce and contact center systems
  • Support software development cost estimation and schedule planning
  • Explore new technologies and design approaches to address integration requirements
  • Coordinate with the management team to ensure problem resolution and client satisfaction
  • Complete tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints
  • Support UAT and go-live activities
  • Attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
  • 0–3 years of relevant professional experience; 0 years of experience within the scope of the contract required
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices, design techniques, and tools
  • Ability to review and work within legacy systems
  • Current Tier 2 Security Clearance (formerly NACI) required at time of engagement

Additional Requirements:

  • All personnel must execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and return it within seven working days of program kickoff, prior to being granted access to program information or systems
  • Personnel may be required to handle Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must comply with all applicable federal privacy and data protection regulations
  • All staff are subject to applicable IT security standards, policies, and reporting requirements as outlined in federal law and regulation
  • Serious AI incidents or malfunctions, if applicable, must be disclosed to the prime contractor within 72 hours of discovery

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Hardwired internet connection via ethernet cable required
  • Minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload internet speed
  • Private, secure work area
  • All sensitive information must be kept private and secure at the remote location
  • This is a remote position. All candidates must hold a current Tier 2 GSA Security Clearance (formerly NACI) at the time of call order issuance. This is a hard, non-negotiable requirement. Candidates who do not already possess this clearance will not be considered
  • M&S Consulting proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, marital status, physical or mental disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law
