- Position Overview
- We are seeking a Senior SDET with strong hands-on experience in test automation, framework development, performance testing, and CI/CD.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright and experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for complex, high-availability applications.
- Key Responsibilities
- • Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and automation frameworks.
- • Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- • Build scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and functional testing.
- • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.
- • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- • Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results.
- • Perform performance and load testing for high-volume applications.
- • Work with development, product, UX/UI, and engineering teams to define testing requirements.
- • Apply Agile, TDD, and BDD practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- • Perform security testing and collaborate with security teams.
- • Identify quality gaps and recommend improvements to testing processes.
- • Support continuous improvement of QA standards, automation, and development practices.
- Required Skills
- • 6+ years of software testing/SDET experience
- • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
- • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- • Strong understanding of CI/CD
- • Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
- • Strong knowledge of Agile, TDD, and BDD
- • Performance testing experience with Artillery, JMeter, or similar tools
- • Security testing experience with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar tools
- • Experience with AWS/cloud environments
- • Understanding of DevOps practices
- • Experience testing complex, scalable, high-availability applications
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Candidate Requirements
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- • Authorized to work in the United States.
- • Must be able to work onsite/in person for required interview stages.
- • Local candidates within 50 miles of Plano, TX are preferred/required.
- Key Screening Focus
- We are specifically looking for candidates who have recent, hands-on experience with:
- Playwright + JavaScript/TypeScript + Automation Framework Development + CI/CD
- Candidates whose experience is primarily manual QA without significant hands-on automation framework development will not be a strong fit.
