Software Engineer - Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer - Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This engineer will help shape the infrastructure platform that supports a growing engineering organization in a regulated environment. The role is focused on building reliable, scalable systems that improve developer experience, operational stability, and deployment efficiency. You will partner closely with product engineers to deliver infrastructure capabilities that are easier to use for both human and agent users.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $122,400 – $158,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Build the infrastructure platform to support growing engineering needs
• Develop an AI-friendly platform for both human and agent users
• Deliver infrastructure projects and define strategy through detailed RFCs
• Debug and solve problems related to production environments
• Write and maintain technical documentation for internal use
• Enhance systems for better usability and performance
• Collaborate with product engineers to ensure smooth deployment and operation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with AWS
• Strong knowledge of low-level operating systems, including Linux, file systems, and containers
• Experience creating detailed technical documentation and RFCs
• Interest in cloud native open source technologies
• Experience operating in regulated environments, such as HITRUST or SOC2
• 2+ years of experience with Terraform in large environments
• 2+ years of coding experience for building infrastructure platforms
