Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Drones protect critical infrastructure, inspect hazardous sites, support emergency responders, and perform tasks that are risky, inefficient, or difficult for humans to access.

For drones to unleash their full potential, their operations must be safe, reliable, and scalable. That is exactly what we are working on at ETANA SYSTEMS.

We are developing a holistic software ecosystem for industrial drone operations—from mission planning across training and fleet management to quality assurance.

Our vision is a future in which drones are an integral part of our infrastructure—safe, reliable, affordable, and available wherever they are needed.

As a software developer, you'll join us in building our software ecosystem.

Your potential tasks will include:

• Development and maintenance of software components: Qt6/QML user interfaces, backend services, data storage with PostGIS/PostgreSQL

• Design and implementation of REST interfaces

• Code quality measures such as reviews, testing, and documentation

• Architectural decisions and strategies with plenty of opportunities to contribute your own ideas

• Studies in Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science or comparable

• Passion for automation, robotics, and unmanned systems

• Mindset over skillset: Independent, self-structured and commited

• In-depth experience in C++ (knowledge of C++17 and higher) and Qt6/QML

• Experience in backend development with a solid understanding of REST APIs, interface design, and service architectures

• Proficiency with Linux systems

• Focus for clean code and documentation and interest in software architecture and code quality

• No aversion to qualified, security-critical software development
