Software Engineer (National Service)

Renmo Homes is a Ghanaian property-tech company that provides flexible payment and financing solutions to help individuals access essential housing and lifestyle needs without having to make full upfront payments. Its services include Rent & Pay Monthly, Shop & Pay Monthly, Drive & Pay Monthly, and employee financial benefit solutions, supported by digital onboarding, customer assessment, payment management, and recovery processes.

Renmo’s goal is to make housing and other essential services more accessible, convenient, and affordable through structured monthly payment solutions.

We are looking for a motivated National Service Software Engineer to join our engineering team and gain practical experience building and maintaining real-world software products.

The role is suitable for a recent graduate or entry-level developer who is interested in software engineering and wants to develop their skills while working with an experienced engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications and internal software tools.

• Work on both frontend and backend components of applications.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Fix bugs and troubleshoot software issues.

• Integrate APIs and third-party services.

• Work with databases and backend services.

• Test new features and help ensure software quality.

• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and other engineering team members.

• Participate in code reviews and follow established development practices.

• Learn and apply modern software development tools and technologies.

• Document technical work and contribute to the improvement of existing systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of software development principles.

• Familiarity with at least one programming language or modern development framework.

• Basic knowledge of frontend and/or backend development.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and databases is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of Git and version control.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Willingness to learn and work with new technologies.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
