Software Engineer (.net and cloud)

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with hands-on .NET and cloud development experience to join a delivery team at NCS Hub. You will take design requirements through to working, tested software, and help keep systems running smoothly in production. Experience with Angular and with GCC platforms is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Analyse process and program specifications, and translate them into code that follows programming best practices and guidelines
• Analyse functional requirements and turn them into application designs using established methodologies
• Develop unit test packages, run tests and document the results
• Support integration testing, system testing, UAT and implementation, fixing reported bugs so programs run smoothly in production
• Investigate reported problems and errors, then amend and retest so the system operates correctly and efficiently
• Make changes to configurable items (software, hardware, documentation) in line with configuration management practices
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date system documentation
• Ensure code complies with NCS security guidelines
• Work with the team lead to make sure design and code conform to architecture and design standards
• Work with Business Analysts to review and refine functional specifications
• Take part in peer reviews to improve project quality

What We’re Looking For

Must have:

• At least 2 years of .NET development experience
• At least 2 years of cloud development experience, mainly on AWS or Azure
• 2–4 years of experience developing and delivering application software, including system development or maintenance with .NET technologies
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (or IT equivalent)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think out of the box
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a team-player attitude
• Self-motivated, positive and results-oriented, with a commitment to high quality standards
• A customer-focused mindset
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Able to travel as required

Good to have:

• Angular experience
• Experience working on GCC (Government Commercial Cloud) platforms

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
