Software Engineer (.NET)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer (.NET) to join our development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server, with a proven ability to develop, maintain, and enhance scalable, high-performance software applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. This role requires a strong focus on technical excellence, clean coding practices, application performance, and adherence to software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development and Implementation

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
• Implement business logic and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and software design patterns to ensure clean and efficient code.

2. API Development and Integration

• Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and external systems to support business requirements.
• Ensure API reliability, security, and performance.

3. Database Development and Optimization

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Maintain database performance, data integrity, and efficient data access.

4. Testing and Code Quality

• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application functionality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and development best practices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues.

5. Application Deployment and Maintenance

• Support application deployment, release activities, and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Follow secure coding practices to maintain application security and stability.

6. Team Collaboration and Agile Development

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Contribute to project delivery by ensuring timely completion of assigned development tasks.

7. Technical Documentation

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering application functionality, APIs, database structures, and implementation details.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with development standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in .NET software development.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET / .NET Core ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and Web API development.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and database optimization.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and LINQ.
• Good understanding of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of unit testing, debugging, and application troubleshooting.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a development team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and optimization.
