Software Engineer (Open Source) | Remote

Position: Open Source GitHub Maintaine

Type: Contract

Compensation: $150 - $300/hour

Location: Remote, Open Globally

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate code patches generated by LLMs and provide detailed feedback
• Review submitted work from other subject-matter experts
• Provide written justification for code assessments
• Maintain repository activity and ensure quality standards
• Conduct peer reviews to enhance code quality
• Collaborate with other experts to improve project outcomes
• Showcase clear open source contributions on platforms like GitHub

Requirements

• Experience with C++, Java, Python, and other programming languages
• Strong knowledge of GitHub and collaborative coding practices
• Proven track record of open source contributions and activity
• Ability to communicate technical feedback clearly and effectively
• Familiarity with reviewing code and providing constructive criticism
• Previous experience in software development or related fields
• No prior AI experience is required
