Full Stack Engineer – Python, React & TypeScript

Are you a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys building great user experiences as much as developing reliable backend services?

We’re partnering with an established technology business in the financial services space to find a mid-level Full Stack Engineer who can help strengthen frontend delivery while contributing to Python-based backend development.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you’ll work across the stack, build and enhance customer-facing applications, and contribute to solutions used in a complex, data-driven environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll play an important role in developing and improving applications, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality frontend experiences. Working alongside experienced engineers and other stakeholders, you’ll contribute to technical decisions, develop new functionality and help improve the reliability and maintainability of the platform.

The role offers variety across frontend and backend development, with scope to build your technical capability and take ownership of meaningful engineering work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and enhancing frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Python.
• Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to design and deliver new features.
• Contributing to code quality, testing, performance and maintainability.
• Supporting cloud-based development and deployment practices.
• Working across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through to delivery and ongoing improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript.
• Solid backend development experience using Python.
• An understanding of API integration and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• A collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to contribute across the engineering team.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with C++.
• Exposure to financial services, trading platforms or other complex software products.
