Software Engineer (Quality)

• Unity Studio is our cutting-edge, browser-based real-time 3D authoring tool. Our current focus is on non-gaming use cases, with an ambitious vision to evolve Studio into a universal, web-based collaboration hub for any Unity Project
• As a QA Engineer on the Unity Studio team, you will be embedded in a fast-moving, cross-functional team building the future of web-based 3D creation. You will work hands-on across features, own the testing process end-to-end, and play a key role in helping us ship a high quality product with confidence
• You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers from day one. You will have real ownership of the features you test, and the opportunity to shape how quality is approached as the team grows
• Carry out manual and exploratory testing across features and releases, working within an agile team
• Own the QA process for the features you are assigned - from requirements through to sign-off
• Write, manage, and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure full scope and coverage
• Manage defects throughout their full lifecycle - logging, tracking, escalating, and verifying fixes
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to review requirements, surface risks, and produce test plans
• Participate in sprint ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with the broader QA team and all other departments to ship with quality
• Contribute to process improvements and help raise the quality bar across the team
• This position requires the incumbent to have a sufficient knowledge of English to have professional verbal and written exchanges in this language since the performance of the duties related to this position requires frequent and regular communication with colleagues and partners located worldwide and whose common language is English

• Experience writing and executing manual test cases in line with project scope
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Strong experience with QA testing on web or mobile applications
• Good understanding of testing methodologies, test plan organisation, and technical requirements
• Experience building or contributing to automated test procedures
• Experience with backend or API testing
• Experience in a QA role within the games or interactive media industry
• Experience with the Unity Engine or other interactive 3D tools
