Software Engineer, Site Reliability

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Site Reliability to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on strengthening the reliability, observability, and resilience of production systems that support critical financial services operations. You will partner closely with engineering teams to reduce operational risk, improve incident response, and automate recurring work that keeps systems healthy and scalable. The position also emphasizes building practical tooling and applying AI development tools across the software lifecycle to improve delivery and operational effectiveness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,000 – $196,600 annually

Responsibilities

• Build and improve tooling that increases the reliability of production systems
• Develop observability capabilities for metrics and service health
• Enhance incident response through better automation and standards
• Create resiliency capabilities to reduce operational risks
• Identify and automate recurring operational tasks
• Integrate AI into software development and operational processes
• Design solutions that support effective incident investigation and recovery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software or site reliability engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript
• Experience building and operating production software and tooling
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and observability
• Experience with incident response for live systems
• Proven ability to deliver scoped engineering projects independently
• Familiarity with AI development tools throughout the software lifecycle
