About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER, SUSTAINING AUTOMATION role is focused on developing and maintaining automation systems that support the organization’s container image production. This position contributes to building AI-powered tools and scalable automation platforms that enhance the reliability and efficiency of package creation, testing, and image building. The role is critical in advancing the automation infrastructure that underpins the software supply chain security efforts, offering the opportunity to influence team direction and collaborate across distributed teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation platforms for package creation, test generation, and image building
• Build AI-integrated tooling for manifest generation, test scaffolding, and validation
• Write production-quality Go code for CLI tools, services, and integrations
• Create tools and automation that improve customer reliability including test and validation frameworks
• Contribute technical input to the team's roadmap and planning
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience with production system delivery
• Proficiency in Go programming language
• Experience using AI/LLM to generate, review, and test code
• Systems design skills for scalable and loosely-coupled architectures
• Experience building developer tools, command line interfaces, or automation platforms
• Knowledge of container ecosystems including Docker, OCI, container registries, and Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration
• Residency in the US or Canada

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range $121,000 to $142,000 USD
