Software Engineer (Technical Interviewer) - Remote

Location: Metro Manila, Philippines | Remote (M-F)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join a global network of specialized Technical Interviewers. In this role, you will conduct live, structured technical interviews for software engineering candidates on behalf of leading technology companies worldwide. You will evaluate candidates' problem-solving skills, algorithmic thinking, and code quality while ensuring a fair, high-quality candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead live, interactive technical coding interviews using a specialized assessment platform
• Assess candidates across coding proficiency, data structures, algorithms, debugging strategies, and software fundamentals
• Write clear, objective, and detailed technical evaluations immediately following each interview session
• Deliver a professional, engaging, and unbiased environment for software engineering candidates from diverse backgrounds
• Partner with the core team to continuously refine interview rubrics, content, and process standards

About you

• 5+ years of hands-on, professional software engineering experience actively building and maintaining production systems
• Strong coding fluency in at least one of the following: Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core software design principles
• Dedicated, quiet workstation equipped with a high-speed internet connection, webcam, and microphone
• Exceptional written and spoken English skills to lead complex technical discussions, explain coding challenges clearly, and ask targeted follow-up questions
• Ability to analyze code live, discuss edge cases, and articulate detailed technical feedback
• Prior experience conducting technical interviews, screening candidates, or leading code reviews (preferred)
• Background in technical mentoring, coaching, or engineering onboarding (preferred)
• Senior, Staff, Lead, or Principal Engineer background with continued hands-on coding involvement (preferred)
