Software Engineer with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch

Position: Software Engineer with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch

Location: SF Bay Area, CA(Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience administering Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch and/or Solr/Lucene in production environments
• Strong Java and Python skills
• Distributed systems expertise (sharding, replication, consistency, cluster topology)
• AWS experience (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch)
• Experience with another cloud provider (e.g., GCP)
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Query DSL, and index management (ILM/ISM policies)
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar) to improve engineering velocity and code quality
• CI/CD and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and Git workflows
