Software Engineering Manager - Cloud Streaming

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineering Manager - Cloud Streaming to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will lead a team focused on distributed cloud streaming infrastructure and the software components that power a large-scale, real-time digital experience. The manager will partner closely with internal engineering, product, and partner-facing teams to shape technical direction, improve execution, and ensure reliable support for key platform services. The position combines people leadership with hands-on technical judgment across design, delivery, and stakeholder communication.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $168,000 – $270,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers supporting cloud streaming infrastructure and related software services
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop roadmaps, strategies, and execution plans
• Gather requirements and influence software design and implementation decisions
• Present progress updates and technical status to stakeholders and external partners
• Coordinate partner support activities and infrastructure needs
• Maintain visibility into the components supporting the company's cloud streaming ecosystem

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience designing and building distributed software systems
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing engineering teams
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS and ECS Fargate
• Proficiency in Golang, Java, C, C++, or Rust
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with real-time streaming systems such as WebRTC
