We're recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager to join a market-leading digital business that develops technology products used by millions of users across Europe.

This role sits within the company's Real Estate technology division, responsible for building advanced data-driven solutions and software platforms that support housing, banking, and real estate professionals. You'll lead the team behind a business-critical real estate brokerage platform used daily by industry professionals and play a key role in modernising the product, introducing AI capabilities, and evolving engineering practices.

The Opportunity

As Engineering Manager, you will combine technical leadership, people management, and product collaboration. You'll work closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure technology decisions support both customer needs and business goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Developer or Technical Lead looking to step into a broader leadership position while remaining close to technology and product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary software engineering team
• Own the technical direction and overall architecture of a large-scale SaaS platform
• Balance delivery priorities with long-term technical sustainability
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders on roadmap planning and prioritisation
• Guide architectural decisions and support engineers with technical challenges
• Bring customer and market insights into technical decision-making
• Drive improvements in team processes, ways of working, and engineering excellence
• Support the integration of AI-driven capabilities into products and internal development workflows
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing software development teams
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture across frontend and backend technologies
• Experience working with SaaS products and cloud-based platforms
• Ability to maintain a strategic overview while managing multiple streams of work
• Strong decision-making skills and confidence in taking ownership
• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Customer-focused mindset with a genuine interest in understanding business challenges
• Product company experience
