ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proactive, skilled, and detail-oriented Fullstack Developer (Junior) with 1 to 3 years of commercial software engineering experience to expand our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will design, engineer, and operate edge-native services and enterprise web applications running on the Cloudflare Developer Platform. You will be responsible for orchestrating bidirectional integrations between our high-speed edge web applications, internal enterprise tools, and our central SAP ERP system. You will help replace legacy monolithic middle layers with low-latency, event-driven serverless architectures that guarantee high availability, security, and global performance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, and maintain RESTful and RPC microservices on Cloudflare Workers using TypeScript and Hono, adopting edge-first architectural patterns.
• Frontend Engineering : Develop scalable, responsive, and data-dense enterprise web portals, operations dashboards, and admin control panels using Cloudflare Pages, React, Next.js / Remix, and Tailwind CSS.
• SAP & Enterprise Integration : Design, deploy, and monitor robust integration pipelines connecting internal applications to SAP S/4HANA / ECC via OData (v2/v4), REST APIs, RFC/BAPI wrappers, and the SAP Integration Suite.
• Internal Tooling Ecosystem : Build custom workflow automations, webhooks, and integrations bridging developer tools (GitHub Actions, Jira, Linear) and communication platforms (Slack, Microsoft Teams).
• Quality Assurance & Observability : Maintain high code test coverage using Vitest and Playwright. Implement edge logging, distributed tracing, and real-time error tracking with Cloudflare Tail Workers and OpenTelemetry.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-have

• TypeScript & Node.js : Proficiency with modern TypeScript, asynchronous programming, functional programming principles.
• Frontend Experience : Solid commercial experience building and maintaining complex web frontends using React, client-side state management (e.g., Zustand, TanStack Query), and component libraries.
• API Design & Integration : Proven track record in designing, documenting (OpenAPI/Swagger), consuming, and securing RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party SaaS integrations.
• Database & ORM Proficiency : Strong practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite), schema migrations, query performance tuning, and modern ORMs (e.g., Drizzle ORM, Prisma).

Nice-to-have

• Direct production experience using the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Cloudflare Workers, Pages, D1, KV, Queues, Durable Objects, Hyperdrive, Wrangler).
• Experience with lightweight edge server frameworks ( Hono , Elysia).
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP Cloud Connector, or SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with distributed systems challenges: idempotency, eventual consistency, rate limiting, and circuit breaker patterns.
• Experience setting up End-to-End (E2E) testing with Playwright or Cypress.
• DevOps & CI/CD : Hands-on experience configuring automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), environment secrets, and automated testing suites.
• Functional programming in Effect-Ts
• Enterprise & SAP Integration : Hands-on experience or solid working knowledge of enterprise application integration, particularly with SAP (OData v2/v4, REST endpoints, SAP Gateway, or BAPI/RFC) or similar enterprise ERPs.
• Asynchronous & Event-Driven Processing : Implement resilient background jobs, batch synchronizations, and retry mechanisms using Cloudflare Queues, Cloudflare Workflows, and Scheduled Triggers.
