Responsibilities

  • Fulfill software requests: Review and process ServiceNow tickets, confirm required approvals, and complete requests within established service levels.
  • Provision software: Assign approved licenses, provide access or installation instructions, and coordinate with IT support when needed.
  • Reclaim unused licenses: Review usage reports, contact users to confirm ongoing needs, and remove or reassign licenses according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records: Update license assignments, subscription details, software inventory, and ticket documentation.
  • Support employee changes: Provision, transfer, or remove software access for new hires, role changes, and departing employees.
  • Provide customer support: Respond to questions about software availability, request status, and access issues; escalate complex matters to the appropriate team.
  • Support routine SAM activities: Assist with license reconciliations, renewal preparation, software catalog updates, and basic usage and allocation reporting.
  • Follow established controls: Ensure requests meet approval, licensing, and software governance requirements, and escalate exceptions.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, manage competing priorities, and handle routine requests independently after training.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Interest in learning software licensing, provisioning, and IT service management.
  • Based in the United States within the Central or Eastern time zone.
  • Prior software asset management experience is not required. Relevant education, internships, customer service, administrative, or IT support experience will be considered.
