Software Packaging Engineer (PSADT)

Job Title: Software Packaging Engineer – Level 1

Location: Remote / WFH
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Overview

The Software Packaging Engineer is responsible for creating, testing, troubleshooting, and delivering scripted software packages for customers across multiple industries. This role requires hands-on application packaging and scripting experience, strong Windows endpoint knowledge, and the ability to independently troubleshoot software and operating system issues. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who can become fully productive within approximately eight weeks.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software packages based on customer requirements.
• Package applications using tools such as MSI, Orca, PowerShell App Deploy Toolkit (PSADT), ODT, Transforms, Wise Script, and AdminStudio.
• Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, AutoIt, Visual Basic, and Batch.
• Test software packages thoroughly before deployment and document testing results.
• Troubleshoot software packaging, deployment, and operating system issues.
• Support application deployments through endpoint management platforms such as SCCM, Intune, Azure, Endpoint Central, and Ivanti.
• Support endpoint configuration and customization.
• Work with software updates and third-party patching using WSUS, SUP, Windows Update, or similar technologies.
• Support OSD, drivers, and task sequences.
• Document packaging activities, updates, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Communicate directly with global customers through email and video meetings to provide troubleshooting, guidance, and technical support.
• Collaborate with technical team members on complex issues and escalations.
• Independently prioritize and manage workload to meet customer deadlines.
• Maintain strong quality assurance and attention to detail throughout the packaging and deployment process.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software/application packaging experience.
• Experience creating and modifying MSI packages and Transforms.
• Experience with PowerShell App Deploy Toolkit (PSADT).
• Experience with packaging tools such as Orca, ODT, Wise Script, and/or AdminStudio.
• Strong scripting experience using PowerShell; AutoIt, Visual Basic, and Batch experience are also relevant.
• Experience with endpoint deployment/management tools such as SCCM, Intune, Azure, Endpoint Central, or Ivanti.
• Strong understanding of endpoint configuration and customization.
• Experience with software updates and third-party patching, including WSUS, SUP, or Windows Update.
• Experience with OSD, drivers, and task sequences.
• Strong software and operating system troubleshooting skills.
• Strong quality assurance and software testing experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Strong customer-facing communication and technical support skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn quickly and become productive within approximately eight weeks.
• Familiarity with software packaging and deployment security best practices preferred.
• GitHub or other version control experience preferred.
• ServiceNow, Freshdesk, or similar ticketing system experience preferred.

Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per month
