What they need

Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere. Every day, all around the world, people depend on technology, transportation, energy, and infrastructure to live and work. With rapid growth in electrification, an energy transition driven by climate change and explosive growth in connectivity, we’re well positioned to solve the world’s toughest electrical and mechanical power management challenges.

We're looking for a Project Control Engineer to join our PMO team and support the successful delivery of mission-critical power monitoring and control projects. This is an opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, build highly sought-after technical expertise, and contribute to some of Australia's most important infrastructure projects.

What you’ll do:

As part of a high-performing project delivery team, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will:

  • Coordinate software engineering and project delivery activities
  • Support electrical and software system design, documentation, and technical submissions
  • Develop testing, commissioning, and quality assurance plans
  • Lead or support factory testing and site commissioning activities
  • Apply knowledge of power monitoring, control systems, networking, and SCADA environments
  • Work closely with customers, engineers, service teams, and project managers
  • Support project planning, reporting, and execution

What we're looking for

We're interested in professionals from critical power, electrical infrastructure, utilities, industrial automation, data centres, building services, or related industries.

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in project engineering within the electrical industry
  • Experience delivering software, controls, SCADA, or electrical infrastructure projects
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance of power monitoring or control systems
  • Knowledge of network protocols, power systems, and control technologies
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational capability
  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

Why Eaton?

Join a global leader delivering the most critical infrastructure projects, where you'll gain end-to-end project exposure, build highly sought-after technical skills, and grow your career in a business shaping the future of electrification and connectivity.

  • Work on mission-critical infrastructure projects across data centres, utilities, and industrial environments.
  • Own and influence projects from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop expertise across power systems, controls, software, and project delivery.
  • Competitive salary package, car allowance, and bonus.
  • Global opportunities, local decision-making, and career progression pathways.
