Objectives

Software Project Lead is responsible for leading the successful delivery of software projects from requirement analysis through design, development, testing, commissioning, and post-implementation support. The role provides technical leadership, drives solution architecture, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures project objectives are achieved within agreed timelines, quality standards, and customer expectations. In addition to hands-on technical contributions, Software Project Leader mentors team members, supports resource planning, identifies project risks, and promotes engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical/Commercial

• Lead software project delivery activities from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live support.

• Analyze customer requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Define project scope, technical approach, effort estimation, and implementation plans.

• Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality, schedule, and performance objectives.

• Monitor project progress and proactively address technical challenges, risks, and blockers.

• Coordinate project activities across Software, Testing, Product, Solution Design, and other relevant teams.

• Lead software integration, commissioning, customer acceptance testing, and stabilization activities.

• Support issue resolution during project implementation and operational support phases.

Customer focus

• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects to ensure product features align with customer requirements and deliver optimal user value.

• Provide L3 technical support and guidance.

• Lead project integration, commissioning and post-go-live activities.

• Demonstrates the ability to lead and deliver in dynamic environments with evolving product goals and shifting technical requirements.

Teamwork

• Actively foster strong collaboration and communication across development teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional departments.

• Adhere to established software development methodologies and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.

• Build strong collaboration across distributed and cross-functional teams, driving alignment, teamwork, and collective ownership of project outcomes.

Communication

• Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating strong proficiency in articulating complex technical concepts and aligning them with business objectives.

Bring to the team

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years software development experience with at least 2-3 years leading technical teams or project delivery activities.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Java, and Java EE technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience leading technical solution delivery, effort estimation, and technical risk management.
• Experience defining software architecture and reviewing technical designs for enterprise solutions.
• Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional project teams.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and meet challenging project deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel and work on site when required.
