Software QA Automation Lead (Technical Automation Lead)

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals
• Design, develop, implementing and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications.
• Implement best practices for automation testing, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability of test scripts.
• Review, optimize, enhance and ensuring maintainability existing automated test suites to improve reliability and automation coverage
• Continuously improve automation testing processes, introducing new tools and methodologies as necessary.
• Execute and analyse automated tests, providing detailed reports on test results and defect tracking.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes.
• Manage and maintain test environments and related tools.
• Experience leading automation initiatives, defining automation approaches, and providing technical guidance to QA team members.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members as automation adoption expands
• Support the team in improving overall testing practices across both manual and automated efforts

Requirements:·

• Bachelor’s Degree: in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, with strong focus on automation testing.
• QA Manual Expertise: Minimum of 2 years
• QA Web Automation Expertise: Minimum of 3 years
• QA Desktop Automation Expertise: Minimum of 2 years
• QA Expertise: Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes, familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools.

Automation & CI/CD:

• Experience with desktop automation tools (e.g., TestComplete or equivalent),
• Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Playwright or Selenium)
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Cloud, Docker containers & DevOps pipelines is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other programming languages used for automation (e.g. Java, C#) used for test automation
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
