Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused Software QA Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and manage software defects using appropriate defect-tracking tools.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify potential issues and clarify acceptance criteria.
• Conduct API, database, and backend testing as required.
• Perform manual and automated testing where applicable.
• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure issues are properly resolved.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test cases, test scripts, test results, and defect reports.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and overall software quality.
• Provide clear and timely reports on testing progress, risks, issues, and results.
• Ensure that software releases meet defined quality standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
