Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop the software powering Dell's enterprise storage products as part of the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), spanning platforms, applications, and diagnostics, all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Our Storage Infrastructure Engineering team builds the control path and infrastructure services that power Dell's next-generation enterprise storage expansion platforms, including system discovery, provisioning, lifecycle management, and hardware integration, using Python microservices and modern API-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and own Storage Infrastructure and Control Path features for enterprise storage expansion, from requirements and specification through implementation, testing, and long-term support
• Build and maintain Python microservices using FastAPI, Pydantic, and async/await patterns
• Design and implement storage infrastructure services that support system-level discovery, provisioning, and lifecycle management
• Author and maintain detailed specifications as part of a Spec-Driven Development (SDD) process
• Build AI agents and automated workflows , leveraging Agentic AI to accelerate development, testing, and code generation

Essential Requirements

• Relevant BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a leading university
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, including work with storage systems, infrastructure software, Linux, or networking
• Strong experience with Python (3.11+), FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker, Git, pytest, ruff, and mypy for development, testing, and code quality
• Comfort working in an AI-native development environment, Spec-Driven Development (SDD), AI-assisted workflows, and engineering governance

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of some networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, RoCEv2, RDMA, IPv6, DHCP, mDNS/DNS-SD, LLDP)
• Experience with CI pipelines, GitHub Actions, qTest
