Software Technical Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Software Technical Lead to join a growing technology team in Wellington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior software professional who enjoys combining hands-on development with technical leadership. You’ll work across modern software solutions, provide technical direction and help teams solve complex development challenges.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing technical leadership across software development initiatives
• Contributing to solution design and architecture
• Remaining hands-on with development when required
• Supporting and guiding development teams
• Promoting software engineering best practices
• Improving CI/CD, automation and development processes
• Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Helping teams adopt modern development tools and approaches

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years’ commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on C# and .NET experience
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Exposure to Flutter or React Native
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern development practices
• Experience with CI/CD and automated build/test processes
• Experience providing technical leadership to development teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools

Nice to have

• Scrum or Kanban experience
• Python
• React or other modern web frameworks
• Microsoft certifications
• Experience across a broader range of technologies
