Our mission is to ensure the safety in environments such as air traffic management, public safety, and transport.  We are looking for an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and hands-on experience in performance testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing automated test solutions, improving test coverage, executing performance tests, and supporting high-quality software delivery within Agile teams.

THE ROLE

• You will be required to constantly use critical thinking to discover flaws and contradictions and leverage different tools and concrete testing techniques to achieve a well-implemented software test automation task
• You will work on Frequentis' mission-critical control and management software solutions
• This role requires a strong technical background in automation engineering, solid programming skills, and the ability to identify functional and non-functional quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

MAIN TASKS

Test Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Execute automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Enhance and optimize existing automation assets to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and report defects with clear root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with requirements.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and quality reviews.

Performance Testing

• Solid technical foundation and the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies.
• Exposure to performance testing, load testing, or system analysis concepts. Direct experience with tools such as k6, Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, or BlazeMeter is an advantage but not required.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or diagnostics platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Splunk, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly gain proficiency in similar tools.
• Ideal for candidates with strong programming and troubleshooting skills who are looking to grow into performance testing and performance engineering roles.

Quality Engineering

• Contribute to continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
• Support test data management and test environment preparation.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established quality standards and processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

KNOW-HOW AND EXPERIENCE

• Practical experience in performance testing of web, API, or enterprise applications.
• A solid programming knowledge/experience (Java, Javascript, Python)
• Experience building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
• Understanding of data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid automation approaches.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow is an advantage.

NICE TO HAVE

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.

• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Detail oriented and has the ability and enthusiasm to efficiently learn complex systems with minimal supervision
• Willingness to be based in Iloilo
• Has a valid passport for occasional business travel worldwide
