Software Test Engineer (Automation/ Robotics)

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of DF’s software products—especially robotics-related systems such as AMR navigation workflows, fleet management (FMS), and deployment tools. You will own test planning and execution, work closely with developers and field teams, and help prevent issues from reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports for DF software (Web/UI, API, backend, and deployment tools).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Validate core AMR/FMS flows: mission execution, traffic control, job allocation, charging behavior, recovery states, map/version compatibility.
• Conduct API testing (REST/WebSocket) and perform basic stress tests when needed.
• Log defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence (screenshots/logs), severity, and impact; drive closure with the engineering team.
• Support release validation: smoke tests, release checklists, and hotfix verification.
• Work with operations/field teams to reproduce issues observed in customer sites and verify fixes.

Continuously improve QA practices: better coverage, clearer acceptance criteria, and stronger release readiness.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Knowledge of software testing fundamentals: STLC, defect lifecycle, and test documentation.
• Experience with QA tools such as Jira (or similar) and test documentation practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD testing (eg: GitLab Runner, Jenkins), API testing tools (eg. Postman) and UI automation tools (Selenium, Vitest) are a strong plus.
• Able to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues logically (good debugging mindset).
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
