Job Description

• Looking for a Test Engineer who has experience in automation (selenium) & manual testing and will be responsible for managing the full software testing lifecycle, developing & executing test plans, defect tracking, writing test scripts etc.
• Responsibilities
• Find, report and track defects, verify the fixes, prepare defect reports.
• Work closely with other QA Engineers and Developers to help create, maintain, and execute automated, system/regression test scripts
• Develop & execute test plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability.
• Test single and multiplayer GUIs - which supports high-definition video and high- resolution graphics streaming over the IP network.
• Understand application architecture, user stories etc.
• Plan and Create test cases, schedule test execution
• Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
• Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose
• Make sure any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.
• Study and clarify testing requirements to QA engineers
• Determine what to test, prioritize the tasks, and monitor the test coverage
• Develop test documentation and deliver it to a product owner
• Compare actual and expected results, checking whether a product meets the requirements
• Requirements
• 3+ years of testing web application on different environment.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing & automation testing using Selenium Webdriver/Grid.
• Experience in performance/load testing using Jmeter.
• Experience in writing SQL queries to validate data integrity
• Good knowledge of test frameworks Cucumber, JBehave, JUnit/NUnit, TestNG etc.
• In-depth understanding of build tools like Ant/Maven and Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins etc.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Git.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC, QA methodologies, life cycle and processes.
• Work experience in a product organization preferably a tech start-up.
• Desire to study new technologies and products.
• Effective work management and communication.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of project management systems, electronic document management, and software development life cycle.
• Proficiency in working with large amounts of data, collecting and documenting project requirements.
