Software Test Engineer

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to support testing and validation activities in an automotive software environment. The role focuses on defining test needs, developing and executing test cases, and validating Android-based software across functional, system, integration, regression, and customer acceptance testing.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and specifications to define testing needs.
• Develop test cases covering functional, non-functional, and system testing.
• Perform all levels of testing including integration, qualification, system, and regression.
• Coordinate UAT with customers or end-users to validate software against expectations.
• Record test results, write test reports, analyze findings, and report defects.
• Report and manage bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Plan and set up test environments with required hardware, software, and configurations
• Configure and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing or QA.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in ADB commands with hands-on Android device experience.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Experience in automotive networking, including:
• Proficiency in Vector tools (CANoe / CANalyzer) and CAPL scripting.
• Hands-on CAN functional testing, diagnostic testing, and automotive Ethernet.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE.
