Software Test Engineer

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our testing team. The candidate should have a basic understanding of manual testing, good analytical skills, and a willingness to learn.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and application functionality.
• Prepare and execute test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and retesting activities.
• Identify, document, and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce.
• Coordinate with developers to verify fixes and track defects to closure.
• Use basic SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Maintain test execution results and supporting evidence.
• Participate in team meetings and provide testing progress updates.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and the defect life cycle.
• Understanding of manual testing concepts and test case preparation.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work from the office.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Jira or other defect-tracking tools.
• Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman.
• Software testing training, certification, or an internship.

Qualification: BE/BTech, BCA, BSc (Computer Science/IT), MCA, or a related qualification.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
