Muthoot Infotech, under Muthoot MCred, is looking for an experienced Software Tester / QA Tester to join our team in Kochi.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester / QA Tester who will be responsible for testing applications, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with development and business teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain test cases, test reports, and defect documentation.
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide testing inputs.
• Ensure applications meet defined quality and business requirements.
• Identify potential risks and quality issues before production release.
• Support UAT and production validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• Strong knowledge of STLC and Defect Life Cycle.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
• Good understanding of test case design and test execution.
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Database Testing is preferred.
• Knowledge of API Testing using Postman is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with development and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, NBFC, or FinTech applications is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
