About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and curious Software Testing Intern who is passionate about software quality and enjoys finding issues, solving problems, and improving user experiences.

As part of our growing startup, you will get hands-on exposure to the software development lifecycle and work closely with the development team to test applications, identify defects, document findings, and help ensure that our products meet quality standards.

This role offers practical experience and real responsibility. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of testing activities, contribute to product quality, and learn how software testing works in a real-world startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test web applications and software products to identify bugs, errors, and unexpected behavior.
• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, usability, and UI testing.
• Create and execute test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements.
• Identify, document, and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce them.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure existing features continue to work as expected.
• Test applications across different browsers, screen sizes, and devices.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues and improve product quality.
• Maintain test reports, bug logs, and testing documentation.
• Participate in reviewing new features and validating their functionality before release.
• Suggest improvements to usability, reliability, and overall user experience.
• Learn and contribute to test automation as opportunities arise.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of manual testing and basic test case creation.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify issues and explain them clearly.
• Basic knowledge of web applications, browsers, and client-server concepts.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new testing tools and technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or web technologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Postman, or browser developer tools.
• Basic understanding of API testing or database testing.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools is an advantage, but not mandatory.
