Software Test Engineer (Playwright with Typescript)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and TypeScript to develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web-based applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through effective test automation and quality assurance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable testing components.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reporting on quality metrics.
• Perform API testing and validate backend services where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2-5 years of experience in Software Testing/QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience in automated web application testing.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
