Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer to validate software features, execute test plans, develop automated test scripts, and identify defects to ensure product quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual and automation testing, API validation, and software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and software development life cycles.

Experience testing mapping, navigation, or location-based applications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using suitable automation frameworks.
• Perform API testing to validate endpoints, responses, and system integrations.
• Validate database records and application data using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Conduct regression testing after bug fixes, software updates, and new feature releases.
• Maintain test reports, test documentation, and quality metrics.
• Support continuous integration and automated testing workflows.
• Investigate application failures and assist with root cause analysis.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall product quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering.
• Strong understanding of manual testing, automation testing, SDLC, and STLC.
• Programming or test-scripting knowledge in Python, Java, or another suitable language.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent automation tools.
• Knowledge of API testing, integration testing, and web application testing.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation.
• Familiarity with Git, defect tracking, regression testing, and test documentation.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with mapping, navigation, GIS, or location-based applications is preferred.
