Position: QA Manager

Position Details

• Quality Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the QA strategy, establish quality KPIs, manage quality gates, and lead Go/No-Go release decisions. Build, coach, and scale the QA team while managing recruitment and external vendor relationships.
• Test Operations & Automation: Oversee manual and automated testing across UI, API, regression, performance, and integration suites. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to optimize release stability.
• AI Transformation & Collaboration: Drive AI-powered testing initiatives, including automated test design and defect analysis. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and DevOps teams to align quality goals with business objectives.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Engineering / Quality Engineering, with 2–3+ years in QA leadership or management roles for large-scale web platforms.
• Hands-on expertise in code-based test automation, CI/CD integration, and Shift-Left testing principles.
• Practical experience applying Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-driven tools to enhance QA productivity.
• Proven ability to define QA strategies, track quality metrics, and present risk assessments to executive leadership.
• Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Software development background (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript) with expertise in non-functional testing (performance, security, visual regression).
• Experience with AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, and specialized QA agents.
• Background in cloud-native environments and experience managing international or cross-functional teams of 10+ members.
