Software Tester (Belgaum)

A Software Tester is responsible for checking software applications to ensure they work properly, meet business requirements, and are free from defects before release to customers. A fresher software tester supports the testing team in identifying bugs, verifying functionality, and maintaining software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the software requirements and application flow.

• Perform manual testing of web, desktop, or mobile applications.

• Prepare and execute test cases based on functional requirements.

• Identify, report, and track software bugs/issues.

• Verify bug fixes after developers resolve issues.

• Perform regression testing to ensure existing features work correctly after changes.

• Check UI, functionality, validations, reports, and workflow of the application.

• Maintain testing documents such as test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.

• Coordinate with developers, support team, and senior testers for issue clarification.

• Participate in release testing and basic user acceptance support.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Software Testing / QA concepts

• Understanding of Manual Testing

• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC

• Ability to write simple and clear test cases

• Basic understanding of bug life cycle

• Good observation and analytical skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL is an added advantage

• Good communication and documentation skills

• Willingness to learn domain knowledge and new tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, BCA, BSc, BE, B.Tech, or related field

• Basic training/certification in software testing is an advantage

• Internship/project experience in testing is a plus

Role Objective

To support the quality assurance process by testing software applications, finding defects, and ensuring the application is working as expected before delivery to clients.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
