Software Tester

The work location will be onsite, with a work schedule of Monday-Saturday, 8AM-5PM.

The Software Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications. This position involves conducting manual and API testing, identifying defects, documenting test results, and collaborating with development teams to improve product quality. The Software Tester helps minimize software issues before deployment, ensuring a seamless user experience and adherence to business requirements.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

The Software Tester is responsible for:

• Conducting manual testing (functional, regression, and integration) to identify defects.
• Performing API testing using tools like Postman to validate responses and ensure API reliability.
• Reporting and tracking software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure product quality.
• Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.
• Ensuring compliance with software quality standards.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Test Execution and Defect Identification

• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, and integration).
• Identify, document, and report defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in software.
• Validate test results to ensure compliance with expected outcomes.

Test Planning and Documentation

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on software requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of defects, including steps to reproduce and expected results.
• Prepare summary reports on test progress, findings, and recommendations.
