Software Tester

About the role

We are looking for a Software Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality by designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, System Analysts, and other project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements to develop Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
• Execute manual testing based on test plans and test cases.
• Perform Functional, System, Integration, and Regression Testing.
• Validate system functionality and ensure that requirements are met.
• Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing after issues have been resolved.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, test results, and test evidence.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, System Analysts, and Project Teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Support UAT activities and assist business users during the testing process.
• Prepare test summary reports and communicate testing progress and results to relevant stakeholders.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in creating Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data.
• Understanding of Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify potential test scenarios and edge cases.
• Experience in creating and managing Defect/Bug Reports.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to perform data validation using SQL queries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
