Position Overview

Kickstart your career in software quality assurance! As a Software Tester Intern, you'll work alongside our QA and engineering teams to learn the fundamentals of software validation and testing — from writing your first test cases to seeing how modern AI-powered tools are changing the way testing gets done. You'll get hands-on exposure to testing mobile apps, web apps, and APIs, and you'll be mentored by experienced test engineers who will help you build a real foundation in the software testing lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate who wants practical, real-world QA experience before stepping into a full-time testing career.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:

• Guided Software Testing: Assist in executing test cases across mobile apps, web apps, and APIs under the guidance of senior testers, and learn to identify, document, and report bugs clearly.
• Test Case Support: Help write and maintain test cases and test scripts based on provided requirements and test plans, learning to think through edge cases and different user scenarios.
• Exposure to AI-Augmented Testing: Get hands-on with AI tools used to help generate and refine test cases, and learn how our team uses these tools to speed up and strengthen the testing process.
• Collaborative Learning: Work closely with the software engineering team and QA analysts, participate in team discussions, and contribute ideas on how to improve software quality.
• Documentation: Support the team in maintaining clear, organised testing documentation and defect reports using our bug tracking tools.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• No prior professional testing experience required — this role is designed to build your first real QA experience
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine curiosity about how software works (and how it breaks)
• Willingness to learn and take feedback from senior team members
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic understanding of how web or mobile applications work (coursework or personal projects count!)

Nice-to-have skills:

• Exposure to any programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript) through coursework or personal projects
• Familiarity with basic testing concepts (manual testing, test cases, bug reports) from your studies
• Any exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot
• Basic awareness of tools like JIRA, Postman, or similar — not required, but a plus if you've come across them

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
