Software Testing Engineer - Belgrade

Quectel Wireless Solutions  is global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Module, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+) and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion on Serbian market in R&D Centre, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our team in Belgrade.

ON-SITE , Monday - Friday with flexible start between 7:30 - 9:30 AM.

We are looking for:  Software Testing Engineer

Main responsibilities:

• Independently perform testing tasks, execute test cases, and document results.
• Write and maintain basic test case scenarios covering functional requirements.
• Debug and analyze hardware and software issues.
• Set up, configure, and maintain embedded test environments.
• Report and track bugs using Jira.
• Collaborate with developers and hardware engineers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and power meters.
• Support and verify customer issues.
• Provide basic guidance to entry-level colleagues.
• Develop and execute basic automated test scripts for embedded systems.
• Support the maintenance of automated test scripts.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in embedded systems testing or a related field.
• Experience with hardware and software testing.
• Experience with manual and basic automated testing.
• Knowledge of embedded test environments and hardware connections.
• Experience with test case development, execution, and documentation.
• Knowledge of debugging hardware and software issues.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and power meters.
• Experience with automated test scripts for embedded systems is an advantage.
• Good understanding of functional requirements and system validation.
• Fluent in English.
