Job Details

Job Title: Software Testing Intern

Duration: 1 to 3 months

Stipend: INR 15,000 to INR 16,500 per month

Responsibilities

• Test websites, web applications and mobile apps manually to find bugs and usability issues

• Write clear test cases, test scenarios and test plans from the given requirements

• Run test cases, record the results and report defects with clear steps and screenshots

• Track bugs using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla or Trello until they are fixed and retested

• Perform regression, smoke, sanity and functional testing on new releases

• Help create basic automation test scripts using Selenium with guidance from the team

• Test APIs using Postman and check data using simple SQL queries

• Work with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts (SDLC, STLC, test cases, bug life cycle)

• Understanding of manual testing types such as functional, regression, smoke and sanity testing

• Basic knowledge of Selenium or any test automation tool

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar

• Good analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Good written and spoken English communication

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Postman, API testing and basic SQL

• Basic understanding of Java or Python for automation

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Git

• Any software testing course, certification (ISTQB) or project experience

Eligibility

• Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc or any related field

• Freshers interested in building a career in software testing and quality assurance

• Candidates with a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection
