Software Testing/QA Engineer

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and defect management.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar.
• Knowledge of SQL/database testing.
• Good understanding of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with cross-browser and responsive application testing.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and usability testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using appropriate bug-tracking tools.
• Analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios covering positive and negative test cases.
• Conduct web and mobile application testing across different devices, browsers, and operating environments.
